Public Outreach

William J. McCallion Planetarium

During my PhD, from 2016-2020, I served as the manager of the on-campus planetarium at McMaster University, the William J. McCallion Planetarium. The planetarium seats 35 people and hosts a Digitarium Alpha 2 system allowing us to navigate the night sky in front of our audiences. The planetarium offers weekly shows for the general public as well as bookings for individual groups, and all of our shows are given by a live, in-person, expert presenter.

Prior to taking over as manager, I worked as a presenter at the planetarium from 2014-2016.

Other Outreach Activities

In addition to my work at the planetarium, I have also been involved in other volunteer outreach efforts, including:
